Jared did his graduate work at Berkeley with Andreas Martin, where he studied the kinetics of substrate processing and degradation by the 26S proteasome. As a postdoctoral scholar with Allan Drummond he studied translational regulation, RNA condensation and chaperone activity during environmental stress in budding yeast.
