It has been a little while since I updated the website. Since the last time, we have had two poster prize winners at different American Society for Microbiology Texas Branch Meetings. Thu won a poster prize at the Fall 2025 meeting and Zane won one at the Spring 2026 meeting! At this rate, they will have to rename the poster prize after us.

Thu, Maxine and Kexin all just rocked their first committee meetings, and are now officially second year PhD students! To celebrate, we went out for sushi in College Station and then a weekend trip to Houston for boba, dim sum, and karaoke!

I am very excited to start as an Assistant Professor in the Biology Department at Texas A&M University!
